The Aegean island of Santorini is close to Crete and as such, enjoys a very similar climate, which is typically Mediterranean. With hot, sunny and dry summers, following by short and mild winters, holidaymakers flock to Santorini all through the year, although visitors numbers are at their greatest during the summer season, between June and September.
